There are a lot of mascaras in the drugstores. Their action, properties and composition are very diverse and it is extremely difficult to choose the right one. So how to do it and which one will meet all the requirements?
Mascara and eyelashes – an inseparable duet
Mascara is a very important cosmetic for many women. It emphasizes the eyes and gives the face a completely different expression. Sometimes it’s enough to apply mascara to do a beautiful make-up. Mascara can be selected on the basis of the nutritious ingredients it contains. They make our lashes moisturised, stronger, longer and thicker. It’s good to choose a colour that best matches the colour of your hair, complexion, eyes and eyebrows.
So many mascaras, so many functions
Did you know that the first mascaras were launched at the end of the 19th century? They were made of coal dust and water or petroleum jelly. The aim was to give the eyelashes a colour, expression, depth and a bit of drama. In fact, today’s mascaras have many more functions. The most common are lengthening, curling, thickening, darkening mascaras. There are also coloured ones – they can be used for an upcoming party. There are green, blue, pink and purple formulas. You can also use mascara with glitter – these, however, are difficult to remove, and particles can get into your eyes and irritate them.
Natural mascara – can it work?
If your eyes and the skin around them is sensitive and your eyelashes are weakened, the natural mascara will be the best solution. It’s a product that works gently and effectively, does not cause allergies. Natural mascaras contain allergy-friendly ingredients, we won’t find irritating substances in them. Thanks to this your make-up will be safe and durable.
Natural mascara – how does it work?
There is a common opinion that natural mascaras work less efficiently than other products. In fact, they do work slower when it comes to improving the condition of eyelashes, but they darken the lashes to the same extent the traditional mascaras do. Still, many women decide to choose traditional products; they are popular among women who don’t have sensitive eyes. However, natural mascaras also:
- give eyelashes an intense colour,
- double the volume of eyelashes,
- thicken and lengthen eyelashes,
- do not stick eyelashes together.
What natural mascaras consists of? They contain vegetable carbon and coffee beans (for black colour), plant waxes and bran extract (for protection against a variety of external factors).
