Eyelash care and mascaraing. Don’t make these mistakes

Not everyone is able to mascara their eyelashes properly. Some people have mastered this art to perfection, whereas others haven’t developed this technique well yet. There are also people who make many mistakes while applying mascara coats to their eyelashes. How to avoid these mistakes, how to take care of eyelashes well and how to coat them right? Here are the easiest ways of eyelash conditioning practices and pieces of advice that will help you stay away from all the make-up mistakes, which are frequently destructive for your lashes.

Mascara and eyelash curler – Yes, but not in this order

The frequent and elementary make-up mistake is using an eyelash curler to already mascaraed lashes. On one hand, you stain the accessory, and on the other hand, while curling coated eyelashes, you can break them because they get brittle due to the very coats. For that reason, if you want to use an eyelash curler, always do it before mascaraing. If your eyelashes are exceptionally weak and thin, you can still reach for an eyelash curler but do it occasionally. Otherwise, you can damage the lashes considerably.

You don’t remove make-up thoroughly

Sleeping with make-up on is one of the worst things that can be done to your skin. Why? Colour cosmetics left overnight may cause irritations, allergic reactions and lead to serious dermatological problems. For that reason, take make-up off every evening using lotions and milks that are well-tolerated by your skin. Moreover, nourishing substances such preparations feature display soothing action.

You use too many waterproof cosmetics

Waterproof mascaras have thicker consistency, hence their troublesome removal. Therefore, if you want to free your face from such products, you must rub the skin and eyelashes, and this might lead to significant weakening and damages. Do your best to be gentle and precise while removing make-up. It’s better to make use of waterproof mascara only for special occasions.

You neglect eyelash care

Every single part of your body, including every single hair that grows on it, wants to be taken care of. The same applies to eyelashes. How to take care of them? For example, before going to sleep and after precise make-up removal, treat your eyelashes with castor oil that can be bought for little money in every pharmacy. Apply the natural cosmetic at bedtime to remove it with warm water next morning. Make sure that castor oil doesn’t get into your eyes because this may lead to irritations. Other worth using products that boost eyelash appearance are eyelash serums, coconut oil and balanced diet.

Too many beauty treatments

Eyelash perm, permanent make-up and false extensions are just few of all the beauty procedures that are popular among women. Sadly, in many cases, and when carried out poorly, eye and its skin area gets irritated; frequently, eyelashes become fatigued, too. Moreover, adhesive used for attaching falsies as well as pigment used for applying permanent make-up may encourage allergic reactions. In extreme situations it also happens that natural eyelashes start falling out uncontrollably and will never return to their previous state.

You rub eyelids and eyelashes too vigorously

Do you also rub the eyes right after waking up? Don’t worry, nothing wrong will happen if you keep doing this rarely and delicately. However, if you repeat this action every morning and do it vigorously, you can make your eyelashes fall out. Bear in mind that your eyelashes aren’t deeply rooted (2 mm). Strong and frequent eye rubbing can weaken your lash condition and lead to their thinning.

You apply old mascara

Mascara plays an immense role when it comes to your eyelash condition. If the product has expired, its consistency has changed or smells bad, you should throw it away immediately and get a new mascara. It’s highly possible that your old mascara becomes a habitat for bacteria. While buying a new mascara, it’s advised to get a product featuring nourishing and active substances.
